Atlantic Beach King Mackerel Fishing Tournament

Held throughout October, this exciting tournament brings together anglers from across the Southeast in pursuit of one of North Carolina's most prized game fish. Even if you're not fishing, it's a great time to visit Atlantic Beach—watch tournament boats return with their catches, cheer on competitors at the daily weigh-ins, enjoy fresh local seafood, and soak up the lively waterfront atmosphere. Best of all, proceeds from the tournament help fund lifesaving equipment for the Atlantic Beach Fire Department, making every catch part of a meaningful community tradition.
