Carolina Kite Festival

Fill the skies with color at the 39th Annual Carolina Kite Festival, one of the Crystal Coast's most unique fall traditions. Held at beautiful Fort Macon State Park, this free, family-friendly event features hundreds of colorful kites soaring above the beach, from giant inflatable show kites to precision stunt kite demonstrations. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own kites, watch professional flyers perform, and enjoy kid-friendly activities including kite-building workshops and candy drops. With the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop and steady coastal breezes, it's a picture-perfect way to spend an October weekend on the Crystal Coast.
